This website is an important milestone for the PMU - Punjab Public Health Agency as it completes its first year towards achieving its goal to advance the promotive and preventive model of health care for the people of Punjab. During the past year, we have collectively embarked

On a journey to advance our vision and ensure that public health is prioritized as a crucial agenda for decision makers, health practitioners, and medical and allied health professionals. This is imperative in order to transform the healthcare landscape in Punjab province and ensure that our people stay healthy, our children reach their potential, and everyone thrives. The collective vision and ideologies: of the Honorable Chief Minister, Honorable Minister Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Honorable Minister Primary and Secondary Healthcare, Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education and Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare; have honed and shaped the final proposed design of Punjab Public Health Agency. As an institute of excellence for advancement of public health, the Agency aims to be recognized for the generation of knowledge, disease prevention and control. The Punjab Public Health Agency will establish itself as the main source of technical and scientific expertise on public health matters for the Department of Health, legislators, and other parts of the Government. It will be an enabling force for the public’s health and serve as the focal point for public health commitments, interventions and activities, provincially, nationally and internationally. Most importantly, it will work as effectively and efficiently as possible across the public health system to maintain due accountability and oversight. Today as we see the architecture and final shape of the Agency shaping up, we look forward to the establishment of the Agency and its first year, which will have its share of challenges and hardships. But we know and believe that every challenge on this road is worth the impact we hope to achieve.
