Public Health Workforce Development

PPHA will actively coordinate with the universities, medical and allied institutions, regulatory authorities and Department of Health, identifying their development needs; assuring quality of public health programs and training institutions; strengthening the DHDCs for offering high quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs; developing a critical mass of public health professionals for PPHA; promoting careers of public health professionals; and exploiting linkages with international Public Health Institutions. PPHA will also develop linkages and collaboration with private sector institutions for developing skills, enhancing competencies and addressing public health workforce gaps.

This will be done through the Division of Public Health Workforce Planning and Development.
