Advocacy as a concept, its strategies, methods and measurement;
On-going reforms in the province especially related to health;

Develop strong and sound linkages amidst departments of health, as well as other sectors and line departments;
Conduct review/assessment of the current health policies and strategies of health sector, its affiliated entities, its horizontal and vertical linkages;
Provide technical support and guidance on Health and Nutrition Policies and Advocacy for all project activities and strategies;
Identify major entities, define lateral and vertical linkages within and without (allied) health sector;
Conduct policy environment analysis and regularly update it according to the Provincial and District(s) political and economic situation;

Division of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response

Development and implementation of strategies and programmes related to the epidemiological needs for priority diseases, conditions and events;
Design and managing surveillance strategies and plans;
Generate, monitor and share information on public health surveillance by developing all relevant advocacy materials;

Develop strong and sound linkages amidst departments of health, as well as other sectors and line departments;
Conduct review/assessment of the current DSS strategies of health sector, its affiliated entities, its horizontal and vertical linkages;
Provide technical support and guidance on IDSR and Advocacy for all project activities and strategies;
Design and managing surveillance strategies;
Support and sensitize health facilities regarding EPI disease surveillance;
Monitor the surveillance indicators as well as quality of surveillance data in the district(s);
Develop action/work plan for infectious disease control, epidemic and pandemic preparedness and response;
Suggest and initiate measures required as per International Health Regulations and the use of descriptive epidemiology and principles of public health in communicable disease surveillance and response.

Track the live data and produce the real-time reports in automated manner from the MIS;
Develop provincial policy and strategy document for management of Health Data Repository and Information System including guidelines and SOPs for DRU and Health Information Portal (HIP);
Undertake data validation checks using web-based MIS;
Analyse the software requirements in terms of input, output and feasibility;
Establish world-class standards and technical operations to deliver consistent, high-quality MIS which is flexible and interoperable with other similar applications
Liaise between different health departments to ensure HIS meets the needs of all stakeholders.
Promote knowledge sharing through the organization's operational business processes and systems by, among others, strengthening links between knowledge sharing and the information systems, and improving integration among information systems in the organization, to facilitate seamless exchange of information across systems;
Establish and implement routine data collection systems, including a data storage mechanism;
Analyse and use data from primary and secondary sources to support strong interventions’’;
Explain findings and results of data analysis with knowledge of current programme and needs; link previous findings/results to current needs/trends;
Engage stakeholders in the policy process and potential target audiences or users of the R&D information produced;
